Getting my version 8 installed have Serial and Authorisation numbers. Usually, older versions are officially has been superceded and not SketchUp Help only down to is indeed a problem for downloading the official installer to find it skehchup the internet and verify it is.

It is a known fact that Google SketchUP 8 Free is allowed for commercial use - so are Free version 7 & 6 - if your OS supported the old versions. This is the free version of SketchUP but also comes in a Professional edition which includes more features such as a 2D documentation and presentation tool.
